Up until several weeks ago I saw no need to buy any devices that were Apple related. I like my Droid phone, my PC, my ereader and my Zune. I didn't need an iPad, or to upgrade any of my existing devices to their Apple equivalent. Then my husband and a friend of ours had a little conversation on either twitter or G+, I can't remember now, and the index card app came up. It sparked my curiosity and after seeing what they could do with it and realizing what a help that could be for my writing, I decided that would be a nice app to have. My husband finds it funny that after all the times he asked if I'd use an iPad or similar device and hearing me say no, all it took was a $4.99 app to convince me to want one.
I do really like the cork board feature on Scrivner.
